Where was social media a decade ago
The internet over the last decade has seen many drastic changes we never even thought would materialize. One such innovation is the creation of social networking sites. They attract a whopping number of members with the amazing features and versatile capabilities they make available to everyone.
Most people use social networking sites for the genuine purpose of linking up with family and friends worldwide. Where internet users have long relied on the simple email to stay in touch through cyberspace, these types of sites have offered a more enjoyable way to hook up and share news, information and milestones with hundreds, if not thousands of users scattered across the globe. Since most users may not have a website of their own, social networking sites provide an easy, all-encompassing portal to stay in touch with the rest of the world.
You can read about a friend’s latest involvement in an advocacy or follow another with the pictures he posts on his latest travel sortie. Being on a social networking site like Facebook, MySpace or Twitter for example, means having the capacity to easily communicate and share information wherever you are. In this aspect, these sites becomes a great aid in staying connected and keeping in touch.
There are other people, however, who use social networking sites to promote their own websites or businesses. Signing up on these social sites, they hope other users will explore their profiles and click on their links to visit their business sites. To a certain extent, it has worked for many, especially if they are in a group that shares the same interest as they do.
There’s no harm in using social networking sites to promote your interests, provided that you do so responsibly and considerately. As long as you don’t flood the site with unending updates to sell your business for free and get the site spammy, it can be an effective gateway for people to tell others what they’re good at and probably reciprocate such by providing opportunities for others to move themselves forward.
What thoughts could you give our readers who are just starting using social media. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Have a wonderful day
Tim
Getting Local
Hey guy’s and gal’s, everyone knowadays is talking about taking your business locally. And I’d have to admit I’m all for it.
A matter of fact that’s exactly what I do.
Recently I had the pleasure of attending the MyFoxBoston Zip Trip right here in my home town of Leominster Ma, and I will have to admit it was a wonderful day to rub elbows with alot of the local business, taste the food from local hot spots, and of course, a good cup of coffee from Dunkin Donut’s
I even had the pleasure of talking with the mayor of our town Dean Mazzarella. who is featured in this video clip from the Zip Trip.
We also had the opportunity of rubbing elbows with some of the celebrities of Fox News.

So, if the Zip Trip comes to your town, take a break, and get involved with your community. You never know what may turn up.
Have a wonderful day

What is Your Solution
Hey everyone, Tim here with another update,
Lately, I’ve been in a dilemma and maybe you can help me out.
I know that many of you already have a successful business and some of you are still trying to make your first dollar online. And believe me I’ve been on both sides of the fence.
From designers prospective, putting together a website is easy, but then again that’s my profession. That’s my passion. But website design is just a very small portion of the equation.
Over the past 15 plus years I’ve learned many things about website design, search engine optimization, pay per click advertising, article writing, affiliate marketing, social media and a whole host of factors that complete the entire scope of running a business online.
But I’ve noticed that even with all the pieces in place, many people still are not making money online. And when they don’t see immediate results they get discouraged and think that this internet thing is all just a bunch of hogwash and many will throw in the towel and give up.
Even I at times have contemplated closing up shop and going back to a regular J.O.B (Just over broke) just to make ends meet. And many of you have done the same thing, (You know who you are) or you simply keep moving forward in hopes of reaching the “Golden Ring” to where you can finally break free of the 9 – 5 rat race.
If you’ve reached a level of success that you are satisfied with then congratulations, but are you truly where you want to be? Do you have a feeling deep down inside that there’s got to be something more?
If you haven’t reached a level of success, you already know some or all of these gut retching feelings of uneasiness, wanting, unworthiness, and feelings of failure that are so overwhelming, that they can cause you to think that this whole internet thing is a waste of time.
But I’m here to tell you, you’re not a failure, you CAN, with the right MINDSET, ACHIEVE whatever it is that you want out of life. I know that this is a very Bold Claim but hear me out for a minute.
A man by the name of Andrew Carnegie hired Napoleon Hill to study the top 100 income earners’ of their time and to find a common thread that would explain their success, and then write a book about his findings. And the results of those findings was compiled together into a book called “Think and Grow Rich“, and in that book is one of the most profound statements that has ever been coined, and it states…
“What ever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve –Napoleon Hill”
And Napoleon goes on to state that everyone that he studied or interviewed did have a common thread, and that one thing gave them the drive and determination to succeed. And if you’ve ever read the book you’ll know, that it has nothing to do with the money or fame, though it was the by-product.
Each one of the top 100 income earners that Napoleon interviewed or studied, saw a problem that needed to be solved, and had a passion to try and help find a solution to that problem. And, in solving that problem, they reaped the rewards for many years to come.
Each one of us HAS A SOLUTION, to someone else’s problem. We all know something that someone else doesn’t. I could sit here and list a thousand examples right off the top of my head without blinking an eye, and I’m sure that you could too, of the many problems that plague our world.
Everything from the Unemployment Crisis to the disaster off the Louisiana Coast with the BP Oil spill. And many in between. The list of problems that this world faces is astounding. Do you see what I’m getting at here?
You HAVE a solution to someone else’s problem. YOU are the SOLUTION, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Now letting people know that you have the solution is the key to the whole equation. But this we’ll talk about in our next newsletter.
Be the SOLUTION! and remember what Napoleon Hill said “What ever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”
Have a wonderful weekend.
Tim
PS If you have any questions about this post, I’d love to hear your thoughts. And please, if you know anyone that you think will benefit from this newsletter please pass it on to a friend.
