Hey Guy’s & Gal’s,

A while back I wrote about “Are You Being Real.” And in that article I mentioned that image is everything and that we tend to gravitate toward the next best thing instead of doing what we do best.

Many guru’s will tell you that you can make money online with whatever you are passionate about. I’d like to say a big Hogwash! It’s not really about your passion, and I know many of you will disagree with me on this and that’s ok, but hear me out.

Let me ask you a question.

What is the Main #1 reason your in business, or starting a business online?

Go ahead and take a few minutes to write down 3 reasons why your in business? Go ahead I’ll wait.
Let me see if I can figure out what you wrote down…

1. Make money
2. Have more free time
3. Take a vacation whenever I want
4. Get our of debt
5. Make a better life for my children
6. Have no worries going into retirement

The list could go on and on, but I think I’ve mentioned at least 1 or 2 items that on your list. Am I right?

But when it comes right down to it, each one of the items on your list relates to money doesn’t it.

We’re chasing the dream of money. And we need to desperately get out of this mindset. Because it’s the number one reason why new businesses fail within the first year.

We need to take our Passion and turn it into a Why?

Ok, you are probably wondering why I’m saying this, and I’ve got to tell you the truth, if your Why is not strong enough then your potential customers will not spend there money with you.

And your passion will die, it’s that simple.

Why are you on this planet?
In one form or another, you’re here to change lives, touch lives, and help people.

What were you meant to do?

A new business is always a risk. People risk to avoid pain, or to achieve pleasure.

Answering these questions may help you find your “WHY”.

1. What gets you REALLY excited?
2. How many hours a week do you work?
3. What do you LOVE about your job?
4. What do you HATE about your job?
5. What do you do with your free time?
6. If you had 2 months vacation and all the money you wanted, what would you do?
7. How do you like the people you work with?
8. What problem scares you to death that more money could solve?
9. What do you just absolutely HATE about your life that more money could solve?
10. If you had all the money you needed, what HUGE problem would go away?
11. If you had all the TIME in the world to do anything you wanted, what would you do?
12. Other than money, what are you looking for?

The above list I got from a friend I just met his name is Aaron, and you can find im on Twitter @MLMguideFreedom and he introduced me to an ebook about MLM and Internet Marketing that I’m still reading and it has really opened my eyes to quite a few things.

And we took some time out to talk on the phone for a little while, and we both have the same mindset. It’s about helping people, building relationships, it’s not about what we do for a living.

Because that’s our Why, which leads to teaching and mentoring others to achieve there passion.
