Is SEO all about page 1?

Statistically 91% of all searches in search engines abort in the first page, meaning if your website is not listed in the top 10 results, then your chance of your pages being found from a prospect using a search engine decreases exponentially.

Is SEO all about page 1?

The above comment was take from SEO Design Solutions at there blog which stated many important facts that you should consider about SEO.Which by the way offers the SEO Ultimate Plugin that I suggest and use on many of the websites that I develop, including this one.

Though I do agree to some point that SEO is very important for customer acquisition and ranking on Page #1 of any search engine, let alone Google, and can greatly impact your business. I’m still not entirely convinced that it should be your main concern

This website for example has only a PR2 (page rank of 2) based on the Firefox Plugin that I use called the SEO Toolbar. Which pulls information from Alexa, Digg and a few other sources.

I do not believe that there is an all in one solution that will assist you in reaching Googles Magic Page #1 nor do I believe that it can be accomplished without some serious hard work and research.

Now many guru’s might beg to differ with me and that’s ok. I’m not out here to throw stones at anyone, but I am here to state a few facts that you might want to consider before you embark on your SEO and other marketing campaigns.

There are many factors that come into play when it comes to SEO, and I’m not going to go into all the details in this post. But the number one thing that I rely on is my name, not my website design services.

Now this may be a little unorthodox, but everyone I meet in the local community, will get to know me by name and here’s why. When I talk with people, the first thing I do, is reach out my hand with a smile and say Hi, my name is Tim.

And we talk and converse about everything under the sun, at some point in time, the question always comes up when we talk about business. Like, what business are you in, or what do you do for work, but I always make sure that I ask that question first at just the right moment, then I sit back and listen. I ask pertinent questions about their business and sit back and listen to all the pain and anguish and frustration about the all the cut backs, layoffs and downsizing and what not. That’s when I say, I understand (and I really do) and then I say, “Maybe I can Help” and I say give me a call a little later in the day, I might have a solution. I hand them my card (if I have one) or I get there’s, we part ways with a smile.

A while back I was introduced to Nancy Marmolejo who owns several internet properties and is known through our community is the Heart Felt Marketer. (at least that’s my take on her) She is very passionate about teaching you how to get out from behind your pc and become visible, and to become the expert in your field. To become that goto person, that people will knock down the door to work with you. You can learn more about her over at her blog http://vivavisibilityblog.com/about/ and http://iheartmybiz.com/

While there is nothing I enjoy more than passing along what I have learned about SEO and website design to others. There is a downside, in many cases, once they have learned how to do something that I have taught, they rarely come back, so in essence I have lost a customer.

The good side is this, even though this is my bread and butter and my passion, and I may not make any money from sharing my knowledge, it’s good to know that I have given some quality information that they can use to help take there business to the next level.

What are your thoughts on SEO, and what are you doing to help increase your search engine rankings.
Have a wonderful day.
Tim

Why We Do What We Do...

Since early childhood, art and the attention to detail has been the driving force in everything I do, and I have found this to be very beneficial when it comes to website design and development.

But it's not only about the financial rewards, It's seeing an idea develop and become a reality for many of my clients.

From the most simplistic of designs, to the more extravagant and lavish layouts, each one is unique. And is designed with the end user in mind..

But don't take my word for it give us a Call at (978) 822-8318 Monday through friday from 8 to 4:30 Eastern Standard Time USA
